Deborah works in a variety of mediums including acrylic, oil, pastel, pencil, bronze and clay. Being an avid color enthusiast, Deborah considers herself primarily a painter, although she has done some sculpture, she most enjoys working on a relatively large scale. She shows her work nationally and her commissions come from all parts of the country. They range from larger-than-life murals to horse portraits on canvas. Inspiration for her work comes mostly from the dozen or so horses that live in the backyard by her studio. While her emphasis is on depicting horses, she is not limited to them as subject matter.
